I think Spring is really here now.

So it's true, Spring is finally here. Spring is a few weeks late but here are some beautiful new blooms.

More Signs of Spring

Monday, April 30, 2018

As the days go by, things keep on growing. I always get excited when I see another plant blooming.

I think I may start hardening off my seedlings because it's been a couple of days since our last frost. I mean it's April so something has to give with the weather.
I have not planted anything unique yet, because I haven't come across any seeds yet. I hope to come across some unique seeds in the nursery as they get more seeds in stock.

Signs of Spring.

I hope Spring is finally starting to show wherever you are (if Spring is your thing). Outside everything is blooming, and inside I have some new seedlings growing.

It took a while for Spring to make herself known, but she made a fashionably late appearance.

I cannot wait to see how the garden looks after everything begins to bloom. I'm very excited.

Today I wanted to do something different. Today I wanted to list the favorite quotes that I came across in the past month. I love to find inspirational quotes and fun facts and now I want to share my finds for you.
I hope you enjoy these quotes as much as I do:
  • By becoming the answer to someone's prayer, we often find the answers to our own.
  • Climb the mountain so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.
  • The most precious possession that ever comes to a man in this world is a woman's heart.
  • Surround yourself with positive people who will support you when it rains, not just when it shines.
  • We can't become what we need to be by remaining what we are.
  • Sometimes people don't notice the things we do for them until we stop doing them.
  • Happiness is in the heart, not in the circumstances.
  • People who are meant to together find their way back, they may take a few detours, but they're never lost.
  • Once you've accepted your flaws, no one can use them against you.
  • It is never too late to make things right.
  • Don't compare your Chapter 1 to someone else's Chapter 20.
  • Be strong, for it may be stormy now, but it can't rain forever.
  • Listening is often the only thing needed to help someone.
  • The best things happen unexpectedly.
  • Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and your actions be louder than your words.
  • Everyone needs someone to make them feel like tomorrow is more than just another day.
  • I love you not because I need you, I need you because I love you
  • Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. -Eleanor Roosevelt
  • Happiness will come to you when it comes from you. Success will be yours when you choose to take responsibility for making it so.

Why does she need to go out?

Friday, January 19, 2018

I banned my grandmother from asking the family for help from this day forward, I’ve asked for help, and so has my grandmother. A year and a half ago I decided to go back to school because I wanted to be a physician assistant so I had to restart the whole process. The degree I received back in 2011 is kind of a sham, as the school decided to shut down right in the middle of the school year, but I was able to graduate. Yay… Sanford Brown College.

I went to college for two semesters before my grandmother fell too much, or couldn’t find her glasses, or wasn’t eating or whatever the case was. My phone was always blowing up and I’d always have to rush home. My grandmother thought it would be a good idea to again… ask the family to come for a couple hours while I was in class. That fizzled quickly, after two semesters I had to drop out.

So no I didn’t have to go out, I wanted to go to school. I’ve been taking care of my grandmother since I was 21 and it would have been nice to have something other than an associates degree to show for it.

Also, I would take the time to go grocery shopping, get gas, or maybe take my children to the park.

Now James does the grocery shopping, and I no longer have the joy to go back to school, so it works out.
